Event Description

If you look at the home page for the Edcamp Foundation’s homepage, you’ll see that it says that edcamps are all about “promoting organic, participant-driven professional development for K-12 educators worldwide.”  At Edcamp Chicago, being held this year at East Leyden High School in Franklin Park, IL, we aim to provide this type of professional development experience: one that is developed by and for the teachers and administrators that attend, education for educators tailored to their needs.

Last year’s Edcamp Chicago was full of good ideas and sessions, and this year will be no exception.  While there will be all sorts of good stuff going on throughout the day, such as door prizes, giveaways, tech showcases during the sessions, and great educators meeting and networking with other great educators, the main focus will be on the sessions.  In these sessions, designed by you, you’ll experience:
  • Educators helping other educators
  • Great ideas you can use in your classroom
  • Help with your educational passions (and, perhaps, finding new ones)
  • Meeting other great teachers, administrators, and other just great all-around educators

But, most importantly, we want you to walk away from these sessions looking at and thinking about education a little differently, with new thoughts and ideas about how education, school, and learning should happen.

3 Best Educational Apps for Student

When we think of mobile phones in the classroom, it tends to be a forbidden subject as teachers found them as a distraction against education.
