The Coalition of Essential Schools invites you to San Francisco to Fall Forum: Demanding Education that Matters, a professional development experience for K-12 educators featuring powerful exchanges of innovative practices and democratic policies that increase equitable student achievement. Fall Forum offers a range of solutions and approaches from schools and districts effectively serving a wide range of student populations and communities.
Fall Forum opens on Wednesday, November 10 with a range of day-long school visits to Bay Area elementary, middle and high schools—district and charter schools, new start-ups and long-established schools—all implementing innovative strategies and approaches to reach every learner and develop the potential and effectiveness of all educators.
On Thursday, November 11. Fall Forum continues with day-long pre-conference sessions that delve deeply into creating meaningful teaching and learning and sustaining lasting school change. Sessions include:
• Fine-Tuning Rigorous Project Based Learning for the 21st Century
• Inquiry for Equity: Getting Beyond the Data
• Giving Good Ideas a Fighting Chance: A Model for Implementing Successful and Sustainable School Transformation
• CES Youth Forum: Transformation through the Arts
