The Educator's PLN

The personal learning network for educators

I would like to connect with educators and professionals in the school media and public library systems. What are the most beneficial websites, blogs or other media that you follow to keep current in your field? What strategy did you use to develop your network? How do you keep updated?

Thanks!

Here is a link with some basic strategies: http://www.ascd.org/ascd-express/vol8/809-trust.aspx .  In beginning a PLN, the amount of information can become overwhelming.  Keep in mind that you are building, so not everything has to be in place immediately.  Also, have a plan regarding what you want your PLN to look like and do for you and how much time you can schedule to work on it (15 minutes a day? 45 minutes a week?) ... and that may mean putting it right on your calendar.
