The personal learning network for educators

While we, as parents, understand how valuable an education is, it is an abstract concept to a child. Because of this, it becomes very difficult to induce the interest of education in them. What have been your valuable tips for the process?

It’s not that parents are incapable of helping their children to do well in school. It’s just that most of them don’t have a background or training in educational techniques. But instead of expecting miracles overnight up you need to be patient and give them time. First of all try to distinguish between studying from learning and keep your expectations low. Give your child a proper homework environment thus prioritizing study time. Let them figure things out of their own.

Lynda has put forward a very important point that it is important to distinguish studying from learning. Studying often may seem as boring for children but we can help them learn in various interesting techniques. And a good study environment plays a very important role in their interest in education.

Since not all children have similar temperament, the teaching methods have to be designed by the parents keeping the individual child in mind. Thus, even the parents require training when it comes to imparting the right kind of education to their children in the right way.
