The Educator's PLN

The personal learning network for educators

I have an iPod touch in my classroom and students have had a hard time
staying focused on what I have already put on there for them to view or
listen to. At first, they were all really into recording their own
voice for fluency reflections but that has slowly diminished. : ( I
have had to have several conversations with them about looking up
appropriate web sites. Any ideas?

It says that you need to put in your phone number which I don't really want to do. What have you done with this?

Do try to d/l some of the amazing apps out there. There are a lot of good educational apps.Check this - http://www.openculture.com/2009/02/the_top_educational_iphone_apps.....

There are a bunch of good math apps as well like Math Bumpies, Math Magic, Number Sense, Pop Math Lite etc.

Mobl21 is an interesting suite which allows you to publish and share content with your students and aids Informal Learning.

The idea that lockdown has resulted in lost learning and a widening of the gap can't be disputed but it is the solutions put forward by government which has revealed the reductive nature of the government's attitude to learning and to young people. To reduce education and learning to an accumulation of facts devoid from any contextual influence is just simply naive.…See More
