The Educator's PLN

The personal learning network for educators

Our school is in the process of identifying math programs for online use. Our purposes for these programs is listed below:

- To identify needs of students based on pennsylvania state standards.

-To show evidence of growth in fluency and grade eligible content.

- To motivate students to practice math in a fun/meaningful way.

-To allow students to accelerate their learning above gradelevel at their own pace.

For these goals, our school district is mulling around 3 programs.

What is your experience with these programs? What might be some benefits or places they fall short? These students in the ages of 6-8th grade, so keep that in mind as far as incentives.

I would love your input and advice on this!

Thanks,

Mitch

Try Mind Research. Also, Compass Learning math is hard to top.

We've use Apangea before.  Some kids liked it, and we saw great results.  Others didn't like the fact that they had to go through so many sections and problems until they could get the online tutor or get to the quiz.  We're using Grade Results now, and our high school kids like it.  It's very interactive.

Integration with The Latest Technology in Education Field

It is with certainty that we can say that the future of education is looking very bright. Today the kids are taught so many new innovations that we adults couldn't have imagined learning at school.
