The Educator's PLN

The personal learning network for educators

I'm just trying to start a collection of great project-based learning ideas. So if you've heard of or tried a really neat project, I'd love to hear a few short sentences (or more) about it!

Currently I'm working on a Grade 6 - Biodiversity Unit that mimics an environmental conference. Students take on various perspectives (farmers, developers, retailers, families etc.) and vocalize how they think a local green space should be used. Throughout the unit they will write letters to the mayor and create awareness through media.

I really would love to hear any ideas! Thanks!

I am curious about using PBL in high school science - anyone doing that with pointers to good resources?

Josh Stumpenhorst (@stumpteacher) just tweeted this great link regarding 8 High Quality PBL Videos!
