The Educator's PLN

The personal learning network for educators

I am teaching my 7th Grade Pre-AP math students the first unit of Algebra right now. I am in graduate school as well and am hoping to push my teaching to incorporate more design/tinkering/technology. I am curious if any of you have any ideas on using Algebra in a Makerspace? Are there any challenges that you can think of that would involve solving two step equations/inequalities while incorporating Makerspace? Ideally this would be a one-two day event with class periods of 50 minutes.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Happy teaching,

Monica
