The personal learning network for educators
I was teaching math today to my grade fives. We've just returned from break, so I thought I'd do something different. I had them create problems in partners, utilizing the skill we've been working on (equivalent fractions, adding and subtracting fractions), and then post them for others to solve. Suddenly the class lit on fire! I've done this before, but never did it have this effect.
I know the obvious answer is 'social learning' - but I'm still sitting here with a big 'WOW' pasted to my forehead!
Anybody else have thoughts?
