Hubby told me that you started this group and suggested that I join, since it is in my area of edtech expertise.
I represent a company that produces a web based tool developed by the Monarch Center for Autism in Shaker Heights Ohio. The tool, VizZle, provides teachers with the power to create and share lessons using visual learning supports....that can either be printed out or run as interactive lessons. EduPLN members can check out VizZle at and sign up for the FREE 14 day trial...please make note in the comments section that you heard about this on the EduPLN and this will automatically be increased to a 60 day free trial. Please consider me a resource in helping teachers to tap into the power of technology to meet the needs of students with special needs... Contact me directly with any questions ..
Thanks for responding! I'll check out VizZle and pass the information along to my teachers.
I teach in Brecksville, Ohio and currently have a family trialing the Vizzle software. They have brought it into school to share a bit with me and have encouraged me to trial this over the summer, so I plan to take advantage of your offer here. Thank you.

Since we're now connected here, I was wondering if you could tell me how Vizzle compares to BoardMaker Plus v.6 in uses, templates, etc.

Hi Morgan...good question...
Hope the following is a simple enough answer.

The teachers at the Monarch Center for Autism in Shaker Heights essentially developed VizZle to do what BoardMaker couldn't do for them... some of the differences are in the type/depth/breadth of visual learning supports, sharability, interactivity and costs.

I can share with you specific differences in each of these areas, and will indeed send you an email with that information. I don’t want to post that here as it may be perceived negatively as “product bashing” or a sales pitch – rather than my real intent which is to share best practices.

If anyone else would like this same info, just send me an email, I'll be happy to share.
Best regards,
