My blog is a blend of education and technology. I hope to provide useful information to teachers on technologies they can use in their classroom and insight into the world of education. For me its more about dialougue....I like to start the conversations and see where people take them. My blog is still in the early stages of development - often the color schemes or the wordpress theme changes when I see something I like better and I haven't quite found a focused niche yet... but all of my posts have to do with my life as an instructional technology lover working (currently) as a technology teacher at a middle school in Corning NY. My goal is to have 50 posts prior to EduBloggerCon in Denver...

Effective Teaching, Quality Instruction and Professional Development

How do we define effective teaching? What is quality instruction? What is the impact on student learning? What impact does technology have on teaching and learning? Can resources improve teaching and learning? How do we approach the scholarship of teaching and learning?

I am currently the Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at Vincennes University.

I am so impressed by how much people write on their blogs and how much web20classroom and others tweet! I use http://educatoral.com/wordpress/ for parents and barely write one or two posts per month with just class news. My students blog more than me, not by much, at http://mrgonzalez.org/ but I can't get them all to blog. I tweet when I can but just can't find the time. How do you all do it?
