Though I've used ning and wiki with my classes, this is my first time to use a blog. I'm using blogger/blogspot and I'm wondering if there is a way to put student posts in categories. Maybe a folder for each week's responses? I've been putting up discussion questions as "pages" can the responses some how be connected by page? I've also noticed that student responses don't show up on their profile page. Is this standard?

Our children have been blogging for 4 years through our website, as a way to share learning with our Sister schools in Canada. Jules Verne School (Mexico) and Chimney Hills - Erma Stephenson (Canada) find blogging the best tool to for working together going far beyond our school walls.

@Anne: You can print the screen (using the key above delete) and then paste and treat it like any picture -however, Wordle explicitly says you need to link it back to them, so just to be on the safe side, I'd paste the link as well (even if it's not working as a hyperlink). You can also try another word cloud generator, like tagxedo or worditout.

Hope this helps

Does anyone know if there is a way to copy a Wordle creation into a document or powerpoint slide without needing an internet link?

I am so happy to have found this group Mary Beth! I feel like a newbie at blogging though I have been blogging for at least a year. Thanks for providing a group for bloggers to connect and support each other.

The conference went great! Eventually I'll do a blog post about it. Since they're on summer break we just did a quick 'getting to know you' type session for about 45 min. We had the kids research where the other students lived so we could quiz each other and share what we had found.

How did the conference work? Fill me in on your process?
Thanks,
Karla

What a neat project, Karla! I am doing a video conference with a class in Peru on Monday, so I definitely know how a flip cam will help make your project more exciting and engaging.

Still time to participate in letting your views be known through my study

It is not too late in get in on this study. I am looking to interview teachers and principals on how effective they believe they are in influencing student learning while operating under Federal and State mandates and district initiatives. I want to know what you believe the problem to be, what skills or knowledge are not being addressed in these mandates and initiatives and what you believe would best help you in your mission of providing effective, quality education for all students. If you…See More
