Hi there :-)
I am very interested in Brain based learning. One of my favorites is Dr. Judy Willis who is a neurologist and middle school teacher. Her books give practical strategies with the science behind them.

Isn't it amazing how metacognition makes such a difference? I'm going though a set of thinking strategies called Thinking for Reading with my students right now. Their whole outlook changes.

I work with metacognition, we practice reading comprehension metacognitive strategies, making the kids to activate their brains being aquainted of the processes they do while they read
