Personally I think after she wrote her post she should of deleted it.  We often need a way to vent, get over it, and move on.  Many times we say and do things we often regret and even though she says she doesn't that may not be the case.  If she felt she was in a situation she no longer could deal with she should have considered resigning.

This saddens me when one teacher is highlighted because of their negativity when there are so many great  teachers (as evidenced on Twitter and this Site) who work hard everyday for the love of teaching, learning and their students. Those teachers are the ones asking questions on how to be better teachers, and how to provide learning experiences that challenge their students.  This is indeed, not an issue of free speech, but rather one of an unhappy individual who might have been happier in a different profession.

I'm very conflicted regarding the following article.  On one had, I think we've all felt this way.  On the other hand, I know that kids engage with things outside of school and are very accountable to those things.  One thing I've learned and found to be increasingly apparent in life, is that outcomes are very rarely the result of a single factor.  She complains that kids want everything immediately, and I've always felt that teaching is all about using a student's desire as a means to motivate.  On the other hand, one of her former students states that it is his belief that a teachers job is to give motivation to students.  While we can promote the opportunity for them to find and act upon their own motivation, I'm not sure we can give it to them.  Most alarming is that they might expect it to be given to them.  Thoughts?  http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/nationworld/sns-ap-us-teacher-s...
