The Educator's PLN

The personal learning network for educators

Dear Anne,

I would be willing to share my experience as a Primary teacher and Head Teacher in Britain over many years in different situations from Team Teaching to teaching seriously emotionally disturbed children.  I am retired now, but have recently published a reading scheme with which I can (and have always) taught children to read from nil to a reading age of about 7 years in about 6 - 10 weeks.I am using this scheme now to teach failing children to read and have even had good results with adults with special needs. Children with English as a second language have found this method particularly helpful in learning to read while learning English at the same time. (www.readingrevival.com)  This may not be the kind of experience you are looking for, but if it is, and I can help, then please get in touch.
