Glad to find this group. Just co-organized our first #edcampsiouxcity. It was a success. Ready to expand for next year! Looking forward to learning from all of you.

Dear all,

I'm from Malaysia and have experience in handling English-In-Camp for our students from the district to the national level. Interested to share with any of you and also to get more input on new things to add to the content of the camp. Feel free to connect with me.

All info for planning an edcamp can be found on the edcamp wiki. Also feel free to reach out to me on Twitter.

If anyone knows about other educators wanting to plan an Edcamp/TeachMeet in the Louisville, KY, let me know.  I'm going to one about 2 hours away in Bowling Green, KY (southern KY), but would love to plan one in the Louisville area as well.

Tried Adobe Connect for streaming the video / sound from Teachmeet Fife #tmfife11. The audio was very good and but image (from a webcam) was a bit pixellated. Unfortunately there was also high contrast between the screen-based presentations and the presenters, so the camera had some trouble coping. For the future I'll invest in a higher resolution webcam and also make sure the lighting conditions in the venue are less contrasty.

Had a great convo with Jason Bedell about TeachMeets and Dan Callahan about edcamps. Thanks you two! I'm finishing up an article about unconferences. I can find plenty of background for the edcamp model, but less detailed info about the teachmeet model. Can someone aim me in the right direction? I'm especially looking for a TeachMeet template/how-to similar to the one Mary Beth Hertz posted on Edutopia about edcamp: http://bit.ly/bN7yYi Thanks to all, M.E. (edcamp Cincy)

How to choose profession?

At some point or another, each individual needs to pick or change profession. In youth it is anything but easy to be mixed up, and the committed error can be uneasy to remedy. How employment is related to your coursework examples

When fresh out of college, chances are you have little to no work experience, which means your resume may look incomplete to some extent. To make it worse, questions like "what is your past work experience?" seems to be a common pertinent step in all job interviews. Although you may have…See More

Hi All, My name is Shanshan Ma, I'm currently a doctoral student at University of North Texas. Nice to meet you all. This platform looks great, many future events could be found. Thanks for sharing. But a questions crossed my mind, how would you see the impact of social media such as Facebook, Twitter on those personal learning networks? Would you believe that members would actively participant in some discussions on social media other than the discussions here??See More
