Great article about Diane Ravitch's new book The Death and Life of the Great American School System: How Testing and Choice Are Undermining Education. A great quote from her: “You can’t have a full and rich education by teaching only basic skills.” Find the article here: http://tinyurl.com/y8hj28c .

I do believe that education is for a lifetime. I also know that we are tested throughout our lives. Getting our students used to the idea is not a problem with me. Our students will be judged by test scores. It is wise to get them used to the testing procedure and objectives of each test. To not do so is to put them in educational peril

MineCraft Learning!

Calling all teachers, learners, gamers and nerds!Minecraft is like legos on the computer.  Actually, Minecraft is much more than that!  We've converted minecraft into an ESL teaching tool!   It's also an organization management learning tool!  It's also a math learning tool! It's an economics learning tool!  It's so much more!  Our teachers at our school here in China have been teaching with Minecraft for about a year now and we are finding that you can teach almost any subject with it!My…See More
