Great article about Diane Ravitch's new book The Death and Life of the Great American School System: How Testing and Choice Are Undermining Education. I do believe that education is for a lifetime. I also know that we are tested throughout our lives. Getting our students used to the idea is not a problem with me. Our students will be judged by test scores. It is wise to get them used to the testing procedure and objectives of each test. To not do so is to put them in educational peril
