Hi everyone. I teach 10-12 year olds in a small school in Co Donegal in Ireland. I was working out of the classroom for 10 years and just started back in Sept. I am learning to teach again and trying to catch up with the developments in technology since I left the classroom. I am looking forward to sharing ideas here and getting loads of inspiration.

Hello everyone! I teach Language Arts and Social Studies to my grade 7 and 8 students. I am trying to keep my teaching fresh and innovative and technology is one way for me to learn with my students. I am looking forward to learning from everyone here and hopefully I will be able to contribute as well.

Hi to the members of the Elementary Educators group. I am a veteran teacher with over 30 years of experience. I teach 4th graders math, social studies, and technology. I love my job more each day because of technology. Thanks, Jessica, for starting this group. Elementary Educators ROCK!

Thank you for the welcome, Kim. It is definitely a work-in-progress.Our district has just begun the work of developing professional learning communities. The work is challenging, but as administrators and teachers begin to see the benefit of working together, the idea begins to sell itself.

Welcome Mary. How does your district maintain the openness and spirit of collaboration necessary for a staff developer to be successful?

I am in my third year as staff developer in a K-12 district. The fun part of my job is working with all the new teachers-and the veterans, too! Before this, I worked for 10 years in 5th and 4th grade. I miss being in the classroom on a regular basis. I look forward to sharing and learning with all of you!

Positive, inspirational colleagues- and perhaps an agreed upon purpose with some takeaways?
