I am curious to know what kind of technology your school has. Smartboards? 1:1? Computer lab? Projectors? Does your school pay for grading systems like Gradelink? Document cameras? Thanks for sharing!

Hi Angie
Thanks for the link and the opportunity to comment on Luke's blog. Sounds like laughter was good medicine at your chapel presentation.
I noticed a while ago that you were doing some work on Native Americans... so I just thought you might like to have a look at Dust echoes which is Australian Aboriginal stories - I think you should be able to access it - I don't think it is blocked for our region.
The new school year has felt like a snowball travelling fast downhill! I am snowed under (and it NEVER snows in Sydney!). I hope all is well with you, your family, and your beautiful class!
How cool is that! Having your kids leave me comments... amazing! Please thank them all and tell them that there will be other teachers visiting to see their comments so they will be famous here in Sydney!
I really enjoy reading their responses and I am very impressed how easily they jump in and have a go at writing their comments. Could you tell them that my Principal will be visiting the blog soon so they need to make sure it is their best writing when they leave me a comment (just a bit of an incentive to make sure they try hard with their spelling and punctuation). They really are very able children!
Please pass on my thanks to them - and a big thank you to you! It is just so much fun participating in the learning of children on the other side of the Pacific!
Regards, Deb

Would love to know what you think! I got talking to a teacher out in Wee Waa (pronounced Wee Waugh - a long way out in country NSW) and she has sent me some other pictures around her little town so when I get a chance I will incorporate them into the blog as well. I would love your kids to visit and leave me a few comments!
Visited the blogs again this morning - too hot to go outside so am feeding the internet addiction! Had a problem on Olivia's blog and it appears my comment has popped up twice. Do you have rights to fix that for me please?
Sounds like the kids really enjoyed the video from the Northern Territory! I love it!
Hope all is well in CA - teachers go back to school here on Friday for a Pupil-Free Day before the kids start next Monday. However I would love to continue visiting your blogs but it may not be as regularly as it has been during January holidays.
Am thinking about setting up a photoblog with some pics of things around Sydney so your kids could visit and respond... what do you think? It would only be a quick set up in something like Blogger so it wouldn't take any time at all to set up. I took a few pics, while my son and I were in the city on Monday night, that I thought your kids might like a look at. I don't mean during your class time but they could use the link to visit from home if you thought that was a good idea. I noticed that a couple of your kids were accessing their blogs outside school hours. Don't let my enthusiasm get in the way of things you already have planned though! Regards, Deb
Hi Angie... Phew! Thanks for setting my mind at rest. Great to be able to interact with your kids about their faith! I would love to have your kids write me a letter - perhaps they would like to ask me some questions about Sydney or Australia in general. I must admit that American kids have a bit of a bad reputation for not knowing a lot about countries outside their own - so maybe they would like the challenge of changing that reputation! Their imagination and thirst for knowledge is evident already in their blog posts! I will wait and see... regards, Deb
Hi Angie, No worries! (classic Aussie expression) I hope it is okay that I have visited again and followed up with a few kids and added a few more comments. One thing - I am assuming that your school is fine with me leaving comments with religious content? One of your little bloggers had a post about what she wanted to be when she grew up and mentioned her faith - so I figured it was alright to mention faith back in her comment, and the post of another child who spoke about Anne Frank. Please tell me if that was inappropriate! I currently teach in our public system so I would not normally talk about faith with students on a blog seen by the world! The more I write here the more it worries me that I have made an error! Hope it is fine? Regards, Deb
