Co-Teaching for ELL

Anyway, they are experiencing great success with co-teaching this population of students in heterogeneous classrooms. I am curious - how many of you see co-teaching occurring with ELL specialists in your districts? What would you say are the major differences that need to be…See More

Books and Resources

Happy New Year! I thought it might be helpful for our group members to share book titles and resources they use to enhance their co-teaching.I will start us off with a few of my favorites:An oldie but goodie is "Working Together: The Art of Consulting and Communicating" by Anita DeBoer. Lots of great ideas for how to collaborate with resistant teachers! Available from Sopris Learning.I also like Wendy Murawski's "Collaborative Teaching in Secondary Schools." She uses a marriage as a metaphor…See More

Anne,

I work with pre-service school librarians. School librarians co-plan, co-teach, and co-assess with classroom teachers. I thought I might pick up some pointers for them.

Thanks for asking.

MineCraft Learning!

Calling all teachers, learners, gamers and nerds!Minecraft is like legos on the computer.  Actually, Minecraft is much more than that!  We've converted minecraft into an ESL teaching tool!   It's also an organization management learning tool!  It's also a math learning tool! It's an economics learning tool!  It's so much more!  Our teachers at our school here in China have been teaching with Minecraft for about a year now and we are finding that you can teach almost any subject with it!My…See More

This study seeks to explore what skills or knowledge teachers and principals believe are critical to support their ability to impact student learning while also trying to implement school reform initiatives. This study includes a survey and interviews.
