After attending a workshop for the Southwestern Pennsylvania's Principals Academy this month, I had the opportunity to speak with an administrator from a nearby district.  The high school in this district became BYOT in the 2010 school year.  It was a very rough start because student guidelines and expectations were not given, teachers were not prepared, and discipline issues not discussed.  Eventhough this was not well supported, the middle school started BYOT in the 2011 school year and…
