As PDE grapples with the Keystone Civics and Government exam, today makes me wonder how many educators could pass the citizenship exam. Hmmm!

It is the first day of school. A kindergarten teacher is calling the names of her students as any other year. She keeps repeating the name Johnny. No response. As she concludes her roster, one child remains nameless. It is Johnny. However, he does not know his first name, because everyone at home calls him by his nickname-J-Boy.
