Blended Learning

Dear educators,I was reading an interesting article about blended education. It is basically the mixing of online courses with face-to-face learning. It also gives students more freedom in terms of time, path and pace. Some of the reports on this approach (although not many) show that the outcomes are good and even we could get more differentiated classrooms. Can you share your experience if you have any or thoughts about it?See More

"Thanks for sharing, Ashley. I think we tend to get used to measure our intelligence by grades that it is hard to encourage students to innovate and create their own products based on what they really learned."

Here's where it gets interesting

The state tests will be done soon and that's usually when most students and even some teachers check out for the year. I always feel differently. While the pressure of the test is gone, now the fun can start. I can experiment and play a little. I explore other resources and test out new sites.Since everything I wanted to cover in the curriculum is done and all the grades I needed are in, the things I meant to try all year have worked their way to the top of the To Do list. Here's where I can…See More
