Atenolol – Chlorthalidone

Atenolol is one of the most commonly used beta blockers. Tenormin blocks selectively beta 1 receptors. Atenolol is used to reduce cardiovascular complications in post myocardial infarction patients. Tenormin decreases the heart rate, force of contraction and cardiac output. Atenolol has longer duration of actionand hence a dosage of once daily suffices. Atenolol causes less CNS side effects. The effective dosage for most individuals falls in a narrow range. Atenolol has lower propensity to cause bronchoconstriction. Tenormin is safe in diabetic patients, as it does not interfere with carbohydrate metabolism. Atenolol has no effect on lipid profile. You can now buy Atenolol online from rx2go.com.
