"Wow this is great!  Is there a page where we can see our current status of this project?   Are we just focused on building the physical environment or are we also focused on 21st century teaching methods and tools?"

We went up to the Iowa game (UGH!) and Homecoming. Both games with nasty weather! I was in the Blue Band at school, and always look forward to marching again at Homecoming, but of course the weather prevented that this year!

I had some friends who graduated in '98 Elementary Ed: Karl Funseth, Nick Indeglio, Jill Moyer...I'm sure there are more (friends form Blue Band, etc.). Did you know any of them?

Looking forward to the big game on Saturday! :)

Stop 20th Century Thinking

In the 21st Century our approach to education can and should be very different from previous centuries. The basic skills we teach are pretty much the same, but the tools we have to use require a different approach, as well as additional and very different literacies from centuries past. Information once difficult to find, maintain, and disseminate is now found by a voice command to a mobile device. The model of the teacher as the content expert standing in the front of the room, lecturing to…See More
