Upcoming Webinar with Greg Mortenson

I'm excited about hosting an Edutopia webinar on April 15, featuring Three Cups of Tea author Greg Mortenson. He'll be talking about his school-building efforts in Pakistan and Afghanistan, and explaining how American students can get involved through a service-learning program called Pennies for Peace.
The event is free (and students are welcome to join you).
Registration details are here.
If you have a question you'd like me to ask Mortenson, you can post it here.
And if you'd like to read about how one girl got her school involved in this project, take a look at this recent story. Hope you can join us!

I talk about how important this skills are until I'm blue in the face and I usually get…See More

A Childhood Educator Is Becoming Commonplace In Teacher Training

School boards and individual teachers are seeking out new ways to improve and maintain their own learning process. Teachers with a passion for their career are routinely discovering innovative ways to brush up on skills, and to develop new methods for delivering information. Teachers know that children have a huge capacity for retaining knowledge, and that every child has their own unique way of grasping the information delivered in the classroom. A childhood educator is an expert in childhood…See More
