Collaborative Teaching

I am a Special Education teacher at the middle school level with a fully included roster of 12 students.  My roster is usually split with half of my students in one class with me and the other half in another classroom with my teacher associate.  I follow my students throughout the day to all their major classes and let them go on thier own to the minor or elective classes.  Not a difficult day for me, right? Well it can be.I have had regular education students ask me why I am not a "real"…See More

Thanks for the compliment Wendy, I am endlessly curious! I am just outside (less than a mile) from Philadelphia. Where are you? I am feeling slightly overwhelmed (just joined twitter too) but excited about the possibilities here!

Daycare or Preschool: Which Is Better for Your Child

If you are trying to decide which one you should choose for your child, first look at your child's abilities. Would they be better suited for a preschool environment where they can explore and learn, or would they do better in a less structured environment like a daycare? Visit a few of each and see just what kind of activities they include. This may be the one best way to determine which one is right for your child.Read more here:…See More

Use these two words and become a better student

Words are powerful. And you do not only know that since your last exam. A single word can change everything: it can make you the victor, save relationships, calm you down or pull you into the abyss.Finding the right words is an art that not everyone masters. Some use their words inflationary and put one empty phrase to the next. Others put every word on the gold scale and interpret everything possible into what is said. But your choice of words not only affects how other people perceive you. Your…See More

Online Education: Can It Really Replace Learning in Classrooms?

In the modern world education is a part of everyone's life. Even if someone did not graduate from college or finish school, they still learn new skills or just something they are interested in. That can likewise be called education, or, even a more appropriate term is self-education. This concept is closely related to…See More
