  • Lectures are boring and should not be the sole means of imparting knowledge

Launch day of our new online module for teacher education

Wednesday evening saw the BIG LAUNCH NIGHT of our online teacher education module. Over 60 students eagerly waited in the lecture theatre for the presentation of the module that would occupy their lives for the next seven weeks. The feedback was very positive; they found the navigation straightforward and were able to get to grips with the tasks easily. Many of their anxieties of participating in an online course were dissipated as soon as they had a play.

Before we gave the…

Does being connected help in being recognized?

This is a difficult subject to write about without being labeled smug, arrogant, conceited, or all three, but that is a risk I take. The Bammy Awards took place recently. If you never heard of The Bammy Awards for educators, there is good reason. They were invented this year. From the Bammy Awards site  we have this: “The Bammy Awards acknowledge that teachers can’t do it alone and don’t do it alone. The Awards aim to…

Since the budget crises and cuts to professional development, I feel that as the gifted teacher this now rests on my shoulders. I suppose an after school meeting…

How employment is related to your coursework examples

When fresh out of college, chances are you have little to no work experience, which means your resume may look incomplete to some extent. To make it worse, questions like "what is your past work experience?" seems to be a common pertinent step in all job interviews. Although you may have…See More

Hi All, My name is Shanshan Ma, I'm currently a doctoral student at University of North Texas. Nice to meet you all. This platform looks great, many future events could be found.
