My School--Clayton Ridge Community School District has a lazer focus for our Professional Development of increasing reading scores. We have an early out every Wednesday at 2:20 and we work in our Professional Learning Communities on how to increase reading proficiency until 4:00.

I recently worked with elementary and middle school teachers on infusing Web 2.0 tools into their classrooms. This is the resources we found most useful.

Twitter is just the best free resource for conservations and input into your classes. Students think in text today and this allows for quick and short responses. Students like it and it seems they will tweet things long after class is over.
I use it to find trends in my field and to share what I am doing in my classroom.
