The personal learning network for educators
To be modern today means to study online everything that's possible. Programming, design, art, law and many other things. I would like to propose you 5 most popular sites to study. You can spend your evenings practicing programming or creating outstanding stuff for your home.
I took a Web Developement course through Skillcrush for $450 instead of $399 (because they charge more for 3 payments instead of paying all at once) and came out very disappointed. In fact, I never finished it.
I was always hesitant to take any Udemy course, because I was always worried that someone could just collect Youtube videos and form a course from them - without being the actual author of the content. Besides, Udemy does not have quality standards that Coursera, edX or Udacity have - anyone can create a course there.

I passed on Coursera online course in Data Science specialization (completed three modules of nine, the rest are also going to take).
Acquired new knowledge, systematized existing, tried in practice in conditions close to combat (just from the book not so interesting). On one of the modules was very close to reality task: you have a very trash set this and a very rough description. Assume that contact with the original no — do what you want, but it is necessary to get what you need. Met with relevant people from different countries of the world. Well, as I wrote above, resumed the practice of English.
Free (I pay extra for a certificate, but a basic education is free), similar to a traditional learning (lectures, homework, tests, communication with other students on the forum). While there is cross-checking assignments (peer assessment) that can further delve into the material and see other ways to solve problems. Dive into an international specialized party. For the theoretical and (about) IT-subjects very effectively.
