Motivating students in math is one of the challenging tasks for many of the parents and teachers. Student’s engagement is the key of learning math and math engagement comes from motivation. This article will explore many learning techniques to parents and teachers which allow them to encourage students to get excited about math learning. Many students hate math because they have the feeling that math is a hard subject. Below you can find 7 guaranteed ways which will help students to motivate to learn math.


1) Develop a positive attitude:


Before motivation, it is necessary that students should have a positive attitude about math. A positive attitude is one of the best ways to learn math.

2) Be passionate:

Teacher or parents should be passionate what they are teaching to students. Show your achievements to the students. These will increase the student’s motivation towards learning.

3) Create Challenges for students:

The challenge is something which motivates students. Give students incremental challenges. Provide challenging opportunity to the students who have lack of motivation. Create challenging environments for students.
 
4) Involve in math activates:

Involve in math activities which will help students to know the real word use of math. Let students know the reason behind learning math. Math games are the best ways to motivate student about math learning. You can also engage students by providing math chat help. This also motivates students towards math learning.

5) Focus more on the learning process:

Focus on new techniques and learning process. Be aware of the process of learning that can help you to motivate students. Learning process should involve math question help for the students, math activities, challenges, goals and rewards.

6) Give jobs in classroom:

To motivate students this is a best way. Provide jobs in the classroom and motivate students to complete it. This also helps them to raise the confidence.

7) Teach from basics:

Teach all the basics of math and then let students solve the problem. Instead of teaching the concepts and applying it in other problem, let students have a challenge to solve problems.
