The personal learning network for educators

Nurturing creative minds is essential in schools.

Something we discussed in class today was the importance of students developing resilience. One such way to develop resilience is through creativity. In an educational society that is constantly pulled in numerous directions about how to educate today's children, something that may be overlooked in classrooms is the use of creativity.

It is important for us as future educators to emphasize the use of creativity in the classroom. When creating Project-Based Learning assignments, I plan to allow my students to embrace their creative sides and show what makes them unique and independent.

Perhaps rather than dismissing a creative or unique way to address a problem, allow students to explore and evaluate it. Allow your students to see a problem in a different light!

But where do I start?
