Why learn Cyber Security?

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) says- nine of ten big companies have security issues. To keep business safe from the hackers it's essential the keep check that your business does not become the victim of cybercrime. The earlier business manager was required to know the DDoS or HTTPS, however now the scenario has changed.

David Upton, Fellow, Global Cyber Security Capacity Center, Oxford University says, “The problem with cyber attacks is that some are simply nips in the skin but some are knives through the heart. But we’re under increasing threat of big bad attacks.”

Though companies are eager to save their system from cyber threat but there is a shortfall of technical know-how and an acute scarcity of managerial expertise which makes organisations fall back.

Stuart Madnick, Professor, Information Technology & Director of (IC)3, MIT Sloan School of Management’s cyber security initiative, says “There is a huge culture gap between those who make money and those who count it.” As a result, “companies need people in decision-making roles that understand the consequences of cyber attacks. [But] that expertise is lacking.”

Hence, with growing demand, institutes cannot ignore to provide MBA degree in Cuber Security. There is institute which offers it as elective MBA course. But Harvard University, Oxford University, and Stanford University have whole time course.

According to Tad Oelstrom, Director, National Security Program, Harvard University, “Business leaders, government leaders, and public servants are all so concerned about cyber security that the issue sits right at the top of any corporation. There is a distinct possibility that this could be hugely damaging to companies in many aspects — to start with financially; people [clients] might lose faith that their information can be stored safely.”
According to Ernst & Young, “Boards are looking closely at their cyber security strategies. Business schools are starting to take note.”

Big Data

Big Data are crucial for the companies which are collected and analysed to detect the framework of business. Besides it also, aid to make effective decisions. This has become an essential factor for the growth of the organisations. Moreover, it helps companies to enhance their efficiency.

The Big Data provides the scope to generate new growth prospect for the companies. Such huge data assist organisations to get the real picture from the information data provide. This includes- information of service and product, suppliers, customers/clients, demography, business prospect and other. This makes companies understand where they stand in the competition and market.

Business with right sense and knowledge

Cyber Security and Big data are like two tool that help your organisation to secure the business from outside and help your company to grow. The essence of these two has gradually been understood by the industry which finally made higher institute to conjoin it to the MBA learning. MBA itself is learning programme where the tricks and skills of business and management are delivered to the learners. With world top institutes offering MBA programme on the above two critical areas, opportunities for the mid and junior managers in the career seems plenty. There is doubt that with skills and knowledge of Cyber Security or Big Data, students/learners will have greater impact on the employers. Besides, industries which for long were having the lack of expertise in the both the areas will employ skilled managers into their organisation. In this way both the employers and the employee will mutually be benefited, however, both will work towards one single goal- securing and increasing the business. And of course kudos to the brains who thought to incorporate such important subject into the MBA programme without which this would not have had happened. And finally before summing up with final sentence- Institutes have significant role in catering learning in manner where learners will face with real business scenario and challenges. Wrapping up another year

I teach sixth grade, so I will be saying goodbye to my students in about a week. I'll see them in the hallways, but it won't be the same. They'll never be in my classroom again. That's weird to think about right now, when all I do is see them.It has me wondering; did I serve them as best I could? Did I impart all the wisdom I could into their little brains? Did I ignite a spark, or reaffirm a defeatist attitude?I have to be honest, there are some kids I won't miss. You know the kids I'm talking…See More
