Digital Storytelling?

Hello everyone out there. I will be attending a two day digital storytelling inservice and was curious about the following:

1. How many librarians/media specialists out there use it?

2. How often is it used?

3. If you do use it, is it stand alone or is it coupled with other lesson content?

Hi Lawrence! Yes! I am a library media specialist. We have used digital storytelling in our middle school. Teachers and I collaborate to develop lessons that integrate digital storytelling into specific content areas. It is used periodically...and growing. We have used it in conjunction with English, Social Studies and Science curriculum topics so far. Awesome student engagement, higher order thinking skills and creativity.
