Hey Lee,

I don't know of any research, although I think you might be able to look at research that shows that Web. 2.0 skills improve fluency in any domain. Whether you are learning economic jargon, the rules of a video game or a new language, the more you are exposed to it, and the more you use it, the more fluent you will become.

I would be very interested to see what research has been done in this area and will definitely keep you posted if I find anything.
