How many host families pay for the student?

Host families are not compensated for the stay of foreign students in the family and all the costs associated with it. Instead, they get different benefits and advantages. However, becoming a volunteer host family, people get a $ 50 tax deduction per month.
All host families fill out a special form, which are entered, including their data and earnings. This information is used only to make sure that the family will be able to provide the basic needs of the student, including three meals and transportation to and from school activities. This form must be completed by all host families without exception. Also, the host family application is supported by a detailed CV, where in addition to the family summary also contains photos of the exterior and the local area, kitchen, student rooms, bathroom and living room, on the composition of the family and the information society, in which the family revolves.

What if students will not develop a relationship with the host family?

If there is a misunderstanding between the student and his family, the local representative of the exchange and its immediate superior programs provide advice and support under the direction of the main office. If the host family any insurmountable difficulties or unexpected changes, representatives of organized programs for student accommodation in another family.

How old should be for students to participate in the program?

Exchange students coming to the United States, usually un the age of 15-18 years. The class in which the student will be sent, the school determines the basis of its application.

What requirements must comply with the host family?

  •     The family must be aware of the duties involved in student accommodation
  •     The family must have two or more member of the family, married or related by blood (single people can become a host family with the approval of student's family)
  •     The parents of the host family must be at least 25 years.
  •     Provide the student's bed and and a place to study. The student should have its own separate bed. Students can share a room with a brother / sister of the host family of the same sex as the student himself and with the age difference is not more than 5 years.
  •     The family provides the student breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as snacks. Student self-buys lunch at school.
  •     The family must be financially secured and be ready to take on the costs associated with the placement of a teenager.
  •     Many families are happy to include some additional costs of their choice, even services of professional dissertation writers if needed.

What kind of family are considered good candidates for participation in the program?

Exchange students enjoy living on farms, in small towns, suburbs and large cities. Each local community offers the opportunity for communication and learning. If the host family is a married couple with children, single parents, the parent has to raise their children or grandchildren, while they have a little bit of love, they are willing to give to others - is all that is required of them!

What is the cost of homestay student accommodation?

The financial responsibility of the host family is minimal. If the family is able to provide food, then this is enough. The student's family will pay all relocation costs, the cost of health insurance programs. They also provide the student with a monthly amount for school lunches, social events, clothing and other items needed.

How a student moves through the city?

Host families are often busy with their work and other chores. Exchange students are not allowed to drive, but there will be school and public transport, when there is such an opportunity. Often students make friends, that have the wheel. From the host family no one needs to become chauffeurs, but should at least offer to bring when it is convenient or help organize an alternative method of transportation.

Does non-traditional family can participate in the exchange?

Of course! Host families come in all shapes and sizes. They may consist of a single parent, parents with young children, families with young children and many other combinations.
