The personal learning network for educators
I gave a workshop the other day called "Wonderful Websites." The workshop was voluntary, and about 20 teachers attended, which is a lot in my small school. They thanked me profusely after I shared some tech tools and resources I use in my classroom.
It made me realize, it's not that a lot of teachers don't want to integrate technology, it's that they don't know what's out there. They need professional development and someone they can ask for help. I have become that person in my school, and I am willing to do it.
Maybe if we provide the tools, and the support, we can get more teachers to come willingly into the 21st century, instead of trying to drag them kicking and screaming!
I used a tool called Jog the Web to privde them with 34 tools and resources I have used throughout the year.
