The personal learning network for educators
Just come across the online tool Mural.ly.
The tool allows you visually store collections of information. These can be web pages, images, pdf files and more. It seems to be like Wallwisher with an adrenaline rush.
I really like tools that offer visual ways to show collections of data. I find these much more effective that list of bookmarks, especially as the tools to create a Mural are so intuitive.
I can also see how Mural.ly can be used as an alternative presentation tool; when you click on information in your collections it zooms to a larger pop-out. This maybe more effective than Prezi as a PowerPoint alternative.
I am going to try this as a presentation tool next week and I will let you know how it goes. Remember it is only in ‘beta’, therefore they are still developing the tool and the business model, they may charge in the future!
