The personal learning network for educators
Have you ever had the situation where you had a file at work and wanted to edit it at home? Then to get it back at work you either had to email it to yourself or put it on a flash drive? There is a free service on the Web called Dropbox and its purpose is to be a repository for files you choose to put in the Dropbox. Your Dropbox will then be accessible from all of your computers, laptops, phones, etc. Dropbox even works across computer platforms such as an Apple and PC. In addition, you can access your files from any computer that has an Internet connection. All you have to do is log in to your Dropbox account on the Web. I use Dropbox and really like it. Below is a video of the idea behind Dropbox. To sign up for a free account, go to: http://www.dropbox.com. And when you are ready for some advanced features, The Ultimate Dropbox Toolkit & Guide is a great place to learn more!

Hi Yvonne,
I really like Dropbox too! Thank you for sharing how you use it to archive files. I am curious if you use it to share with the teacher you mentioned at the other school.
