What KIND of technology is in your school?

I am curious to know what kind of technology your school has.  Smartboards?  1:1?  Computer lab?  Projectors?  Does your school pay for grading systems like Gradelink?  Document cameras?  Thanks for sharing!

At my school (PreK-8 Charter) we each have a document camera, projector. We have an elementary and ms tech lab. Each classroom has 4 to 5 computers and we have three lap top carts.  Our principal is very invested in technology. Our biggest proponent is our librarian/media specialist. She is intuitive and guides our teachers into trying new technologies. We use Infinite Campus for grades.

We have Smartboards, projectors, ELMOS, and 3 laptop carts with 30 wireless laptops.  We also subscribe to Brainpop and Discovery Education's United Streaming.

Hi again ANgie, I noticed this thread as I was leaving a comment on the other so I figured I'd add an answer here too. My son attends a K to 6 school here (we call them Primary Schools) and there are 350 kids. This means 14 classes and every classroom has a smartboard. Each classroom also has at least one computer for student use. There is also a computer lab which will hold a whole class but not 1:1. There are also 15 computers in the library so a class can go there - again not 1:1. The school also owns a trolley of laptops for use in the outside learning areas. Last year our parent body (we call it the P&C which means Parents and Citizens Association) bought a couple of document cameras... I do believe that was at my suggestion (handy having a few teachers as members of the P&C). They don't use Gradelink but our government has a lot of proprietry software that is used for school and classroom management. All our school accounting, roll marking, report writing, library borrowing records, pupil welfare details... etc... are carried over the internet to a centralised storage. I hope this answers your question. Regards, Deb
