Hi Rossel, You would probably find it a different country at the moment! We have had so much rain that there is water in creeks and river systems that this current generation haven't seen flowing before! There's a famous Australian poem called 'My Country' by Dorothea Mackellar and the second stanza starts :" I love a sunburnt country, a land of sweeping plains..." and those plains are very green at the moment - most unusual! Regards, Deb
Just thought I'd drop you a note regarding your request for twitter links with students. Here in New South Wales (eastern state of Australia - largest population) our public schools (government run) are just in the process of opening up twitter for use in schools! This is quite significant actually because there is a very strong lobby group regarding internet safety guidelines, and so social networking has many people concerned about "opening flood gates". Twitter should become available early next term (after Easter) although we have had a change of government in the last couple of weeks so that may also impact on decisions and timing! Hopefully this will then lead to Australian teachers being able to participate in global projects such as yours!
