I saw this video years ago and I agree with what Ken Robinson is saying. I get students at the end of their schooling and they have lost the creative instincts that they had when they first started school. Something has happened along the way. BUT I never cease to be amazed at the response some students come up with when given the opportunity to explore their own creativity. You can almost see a light come on when they realise that have an imagination. I give them the opportunities to "play" with all sorts of software from the CS4 Master Collection and the entire Apple suite. It takes a while but they soon realise that they can be just as creative as those students doing the Arts courses. My course is not hampered by an exam at the end of the two years an their assessment is their own reflection on what they have done. Bring back the big three Numeracy, Literacy and Creativity.
