I agree that encouraging students to ask questions and seek answers is one of the main goals of education. We enrich our students lives when we show them ways to be able to do that. The possibilities are endless. Modeling a desire to continually learn about the world is the way we can show students how to develop the habits of mind that will serve them well. It is important to demonstrate an attitude toward learning that shows a willingness to be in a state of disequilibrium as we learn about new ways to use technology to learn and grow. I can show my students that I am willing to take a risk and fumble through some new ways to communicate, so that I can communicate more effectively in a global world. I can find teachers who match my interests and style of learning, rather than be stuck with someone at the front of a classroom who may not be a good match for me. As educators, we need to bring a sense of curiosity and perseverence and passion to all that we do.

I particularly think that PLNs are the future of learning and education. It's the most natural way to learn... if we think about the human beings evolution... How did our species evolve since the beginning? I mean before the schools? We were born to observe-->do--->recall---->reflect---->conclude---->use the old experience to prepare for a new one...and the cycle goes on. I don't know if I'm making myself clear but the problem of education lays in schools - and in all its complex structure, system. All that students need to know is why they are learning this or that topic/subject."Where/When am I going to use it in my life?" When they realize what the objective of a certain topic or subject is they will learn better. Doesn't it happen in a PLN group? Why do we get together? Why do we follow some people and not others? What makes us motivated to share, discuss, ask, help, work, collaborate with our PLN group? It's not new but has been left aside by our school systems...I mean, PLN or learning by observing, experimenting, sharing is in our human essence. But thanks God... things seem to coming back to the right way. So, schools need to instigate the students' curiosity. It's not easy but that's why we're here discussing and sharing ideas.
