The personal learning network for educators
“So what?” That’s the response teachers often rightfully give the latest neuroscientific findings. Knowing that neurons in certain brain regions “light up” when subjects play video games inside an fMRI scanner does little to help us teach with greater effectiveness.
However, neuroscience has uncovered aspects of learning that can and should influence our teaching. This Webinar explores some of these findings, including the thought processes that empower learning, from sensory experience to memory construction and application of new understandings. Classroom activities that engage students in these core processes of learning will be shared, and participants will experience these methods as they think through the Webinar material. This high-energy, interactive presentation will offer valuable information for teachers of all grade levels and disciplines.
