Kim-- Let me know about the Missouri School Librarians Conference in the Ozarks in April (isn't that right?) I'm in Kansas City, but on the Kansas side. I'm going to try to go, but I have to get permission in advance.

I'm an elementary school librarian for a K - 5 school in St. Louis, MO. I'm also on a district Curriculum Committee where we are currently re-writing our curriculum to align closely to AASL's new standards, and our state's new standards as well.

Hello. Just joined this group. I work for a school district with 30 schools. I do training & support for our library automation system, online databases and other technologies that can be used in the library. Two years ago we did a '23 Things' project with our librarians to help them learn about web 2.0. I also just helped monitor/mentor a 23 Things project with our regional library system here in North Texas. Even with that involvement, I sometimes feel like I know so little of what is out there : )

More Than a Sport: A Look at Scootering’s Evolution

Too many people do not have a clear idea about what is a Scooter; and much less than there is a sport based on it. Besides, it is a sport that has evolved a lot from its beginning, but if you do not know too much about the sport is hard to see it as more than a kid game. However, this sport is more than just kids and young people making scooter tricks in a square; scootering is a kind of culture and a lifestyle that has more than 20 years growing to become what it is today. For this reason, we…See More
