I have been absent from the blogging world for far too long. I have taken a position working with a Turn Around school in Indiana overseeing all the teachers and curriculum. The year has been crazy and since I have been so busy I have not been as active as I would like. I have learned a few things so far this year that I wanted to share in regards to new teachers and professional development.

A relatively short read, Fullan was tasked with creating a book for principals by the Ontario Teacher's Union. The purpose of the book was to give advice to principals. In the Second Edition he has completely upgraded the book to keep it current with the demands placed on principals. He writes on the topics of the Vise Principal, Leading Legacies, Leading Knowledgeably, Leading Learning Communities, Leading Systems, and Leading WWFFP into Action.

Daniel Pink writes in his book that the way that the world has been ruled for the past 50 or so plus years is not the world of the future.
