The personal learning network for educators
Just listened to an interesting podcast interview with Nancy Rappaport on how to deal with challenging students. Nancy and her co-author have come with practical advice for teachers on how to try and handle the four types of challenging students they have identified: Anxious, Oppositional, Withdrawn and Sexualised Behaviour.
It all seems good advice, focusing on the behaviour and not the student. In particularly on making sure that the triggers are identified early and intervention happens before the student gets out of control, when it may be to late.
